Pictures From Seaburn's Funpark, the park has seen a few changes from last year with a differant set of dodgems, a trabant, and a brand new Street Fighter!
3rd Jul 2007Eye on the Bay
Pictures of Bridlington's latest attraction, the eye on the bay, a new Giant Wheel from Mondial, The ride is situated on the seafront with the rest of the rides there and looks amazing and really makes the seafront look alot more "permenant" rather than a few fair rides just plonked there.
    3rd Jul 2007Newcastle Town Moor 2007
Pictures from a very muddy field in Newcastle - yes its that time again, Newcastle Town Moor Fair 2007! Unfortunatly this years fair must have ben one of the worst for the showmen that attend here as very heavy rain hit the moor before pull on, during pull on, during the fair opening and whilst pulling down so there was no grass to be found, just mud mud and more mud! Another great selection of machines attened this years fair including Wheatley's new KMG Speed Buzz, 2 new shows, Tango and Equinox, Space Roller, Powersurge, Bomber Mark 2, and spiderman just to name a few.
31st May 2007Yorkshire Pride Family Weekend
Pictures of the rides and attractions at the Yorkshire Pride Family Weekend held on York Racecourse. The last fair held on the racecourse was back in 2005 when De konings held a theme park style event but unfortunatly did not do as well as other theme park style events held here. This year though the rides are pay per ride altough there is an entry fee to get in as its just not the rides to see, there will also be live entertainment, celebrity guests, traction engnes and more!
    4th Apr 2007York Easter Fair 2007
Pictures of build up and a few pics of the fair open at York's annual Easter Fair held in St George's car park in york. As usual Atha's Waltzer, Miller's Dodgems and Harrison's Sizzler formed the main line up of attractions in this well presented fair.
    30th Mar 2007Tadcaster Fair 2007
A few pictures from Terry Atha's annual fair at Tadcaster. Theline up was the sameas the previous few years with the main attractions being Atha's waltzer and Harrison's Sizzler with a new topsign and artwork. Also in attendance was Harrison's ghost train, kids rides, a funhouse, stalls and inflateables. The ground was doing quite well when i visited on friday night. From Tadcaster these rides will be going to York where they will be open for the easter holidays. Sorry for poor quality pictures, these are taken from a mobile phone as my camera wasn't charged!
    27th Mar 2007Flamingo Land 2007
A few pictures from Flamingo Land theme park (where i work) the park is open but having alot of work doing to it including new buildings with lazer dodgems from American Adventure wich recently closed down and a 4d cinema also from American Adventure. 12th Feb 2007Leeds Valentines Fair 2007
Once again, the first big fair of the season returned to Elland Road in Leeds, although this year seemed smaller and not as many rides were dominating the skyline. A very good model show was held in Leeds United's Bremner suite and a few pictures of some of the great models at the show are in this collection.
    18th Nov 2006Malton Fair 2006
A small fair in one of the town's car park's. This fair saw Swaley Storey's invader as a speedway and also saw a very nice set of second hand dodgems make its uk debut with its new owner, Gerald Reeves.
    11th Nov 2006Loughborough Pleasure Fair 2006
100 Miles away from North Yorkshire, this is a very special feature from a very special fair! This Fantastic Street fair in Loughborough, Leicestershire sees its town centre streets and car parks filled with many of the country's big hitters! On the saturday i was there thousands of people were out and about spending there money and made this a very busy fair with ques for most machines, especially James Mellor's Space Roller that looked fantastic and was really pulling in the crowds giving it a fantastic atmosphere! This fair is very easy to spot from nearby as many tall atractions dominate the skyline including James Mellors Big Ben, 2 KMG Boosters - Xtreme and Buzzin, Murphy's 2Xtreme Capriolo and S&D's Reverse Bungee!
Many other top class rides inlclude Cox's Move it 32, Waltzers, Dodgems, Twist's and many more!
    21st Oct 2006Hornsea Funfair 2006
Pictures from a very well presented fair on Hornsea Seafront. This fair was a very very nicely laid out fair and deffinatly gave a warm "Family" feel to it. This fair was very well advertised throughout Hornsea and Surrounding areas to give great publicity to this great new fair over the half term holiday.
A great layout, nice entrance and colourfull bunting placed around the ground made this feel like a nice family fair with a great selection of family attractions
    21st Oct 2006Bridlington Funfair 2006
Pictures of a very nice Bridlington Fair 2006, in Hilderthorpe car and coach park. This fair had dozens of games stalls, juviniles and a fantastic selection of large rides including Michael Wallis' Vertigo and Albert John Evans' Extreme! The Fair also had 2 Jump and Smiles and other family rides such as Freddy Stokes' Superbob and more!
    21st Oct 2006Stillington Funfair 2006
Unfortunatley the night i attended this fair it poured down all night so was unable to get alot of good pictures, so i only got 3 very poor blurred ones. The field the fair was on was a total bath of mud so there was only about a maximum of 5 punters on the ground! So to make up for the poor pictures i will include a report of the attractions present:

    Waltzer - David Johnson
    Twist - George Tucker
    Arcade - Herbert Hurst
    House of Mouse Funhouse -?
and a small handfull of juviniles and games.
    15th Oct 2006Hull Fair 14th October 2006
Pictures from the last day of Hull Fair, with a few new attractions that arrived on Sunday 8th from Nottingham Goose Fair, These inclded M&D'S Bomber Mark 2 replacing Whitelegg's Booster and James Mellor's Space Roller replacing Sedgwick's Superspin, and many more new machines replacing some of the rides that were there for the first few days.
    7th Oct 2006Hull Fair 6th Friday October 2006
A fantastic fair as allways with this year seeing loads of new attractions to hull including 2 debuts! These were Billy Crow's King Frog Jump and Smile, this ride looks stunning at night with multi Coloured lights and a frog with a crown in the centre, this ride also features other customised features such as the hand rails with a crown in them! The second debut is simular to a Jump and Smile but with a spinning differance, this was M&D Taylor's "Spiderman" wich is a Fabbri "Smashing Jump" the ride is like a jump and smile with suspended spinning seats! One machine that really caught my eye and a new machine to the Yorkshire area was Terrance Hill's Chaos that flips riders around at great speeds! Other Top attractions included Equinox, Move it 32, Top Buzz 2, Superspin, 2 freak outs, and frisbee along with a handfull of Twist's, Miami's, Jump and Smile's, Dodgems and Waltzer's and much more to make this an amazing fair.
    30th Sep 2006Scarborough Fair 2006
Scarborough Fair returned for 2006 in William Street car and coach park promising another fantastic fair with spectacular attractions and this year was no exeption! Expected to be the main attraction was Alan Crow's Top Buzz 2, along with 16 other large rides!
    24th Sep 2006Stokesley High Street Fair 2006
Once again Stokesley High Street was filled with a fantastic line up of rides and attractions and a great atmosphere in support of the Stokesley show 2006! Darren Noble's Powersurge and Alan Crow's Top Buzz 2 were amongst some of the new attractions this year.
    8th Sep 2006Driffield Funfair 2006
Anthony Shaw Presented a very nice fair in Driffield Crosshills car park in Driffield town center that saw John Armitages Thunderdome appear as a speedway for the very first time this year. Also back out travelling is D&R Richmond's Bad Boys ll Miami, the ride was on Bridlington's sea front funfair most of this season and is now back out travelling on the fairs. The other machines that made up this fair was Terry Atha's Waltzer, Charles Church's Tagada and Raymond Eddy's Jump and Smile.
    25th Aug 2006Harrogate Summer Fair 2006
The 2nd fair of the year on Harrogate's stray for the summer stray fair is allways bigger and better than the autumn one and this was no exception! This year Graham Sedgwick had both of his rides open on the stray for the very first time, Evan Moran returned with the superbowl and Albert John Evans only had his Extreme there this year instead of his waltzer and twist, replacing these was James Holland's waltzer and Michael Gallaghers Twist, on return visits were John Armitage's miami and gallopers, Church's Tagada, whitings Ghost Train and a nice selection of kids rides, funhouses, games and a simulator and food vans making up this smart fair.
    16th Aug 2006Flamingoland 2006
A selection of pictures from flamingoland Theme Park and zoo in Kirby Misperton, North Yorkshire, More Pictures coming later in the year. Pictures copyright to jay.
    15th Aug 2006Whitby Regatta 2006
Pictures From Whitby's 66th Whitby Regatta fair, and a great fair it was too! Once again the fair was very busy day and night with most rides riding full throughout the whole event from morning till night! A nice suprise this year was Graham Sedgwick's Freak Out, that swung riders over the pier wall and over the sea, a very rare and cold experiance! Also new this year was Billy Crow's Exposure Miami replacing Clark's Miami and Mathew Fendicks Tagada replacing Nobles Powersurge from last year. O Brians Big Wheel built up at night as it was far too windy to build up in the day. Bring on next year!
    6th Aug 2006Pickering Traction Rally 2006
Well, where shall i start? This has to be one of favorite fairs i go to and has an atmosphere like no other, but that is probably down to the fact that a fantastic line up of machines were once again at the Pickering Traction Engine Rally! Every year we get some great machines from allover the country that dont normally travel around this area because of the popularity and the thousands of people that attend the event. This year seemed to be busier than ever and alot of rides riding steady all day, untill the night when you can expect ques, an example of this was Jay Barwicks new freak out that seemed to be one of the most popular rides, another extremely popular ride was Terry Atha's waltzer that had an atmosphere like no other with amzing mic work, great music and fantastic lighting, the only bad thing was you'd be lucky to find an empty car!The main fair had 1 ride bigger this year with Reece phillips' giant wheel! Apart from the modern fair there was also a nice sized vintage one with gallopers, cakewalk, big wheel, steam yachts, chairs, and the fantastic wall of death from Ken Fox. A truely amazing fair and a must for any keen fair enthusiast.
    29th Jul 2006Sunderland International Air Show 2006
A very busy Sunderland air show, thanks to the nice weather, unlike last year! A Great selection of rides although none of Crow's rides due to other engagements elsewhere, but rides just as good took there places and they were riding full all day! pics are from all 3 fair locations throughout Roker and Seaburn sea front's.
    29th Jul 2006Seaburn Fun Park 2006
A small collection of pics from Butlin's amusement park located on seaburn sea front, the park was very busy due to the air show been on the same day.
    9th Jul 2006Willberfoss Summer Fayre 2006
Pictures of the small fair put on for the annual "Wilberfoss Summer Fayre". A very nicely presented fair with just 1 big ride in attendance and a big selection of juvinile rides, games and inflatables, a ghost train and funhouse. A £1 entry fee was in place to get into the event.
    29th Jun 2006Thirsk Town Centre Fair 2006
In Previous years there has been a small fair on sowerby flatts in support of the annual Thirsk Festival, but this year the fair is right in the middle of the town centre on the Market Place with a tatally differant ride line up, only 2 large rides and a small selection of childrens rides but this really brightens the town up abit!
    26th Jun 2006Newcastle Town Moor 2006
One of the country's biggest fairs returned on newcastle town moor for the "Hoppings" Fair. This year saw the best line up of machines that included 2 Tango's and 2 Top Scans and the debut of M&D'S Fabbri Booster maxxx named "Bomber Mark 2", the worlds first 16 seat booster that stands an amazing 50 meters tall! I attended both saturdays so i got plenty of pics! The first saturday had hundreds of people in the daytime that meant all rides were doing well but unfortuantley at night it rained non stop that meant most rides closed about an hour before closing. The second saturday was alot better though as it was fantastic weather and lots of people around allthough from around 4 - 7.30 the fair was not so busy as an important world cup game was on but after that the ground was really busy with people sampling what is deffinatley one of the UK's best fairs.
    29th May 2006Harrogate Stray Spring Fair 2006
The first of the 2 anual fairs returned on Harrogate Stray with a good selection of rides. Throughout the time i was there it poured down, hailed and eventually it got nice and sunny and brought out the families. This fair is slightly smaller than the summer one but still has a good selection of rides and attractions for all ages.
    13th May 2006Leeds BIG Weekend 2006
What should of been a very busy Leeds Big Weekend was a very wet and cold leeds weekend. This 2 day Event Organised by Scott Pullen and PC Events should have seen spectacular entertainment such as motorbike stunt shows and much more but die to the weather this did not happen. Despite the misurable weather and very low attendance this fair was still good as it had a fantastic line up of rides and attractions. The fair was fenced off with a £2 entrance fee that inlcuded free entertainment, that obviously didn't happen and 4 50p of rides vouchers.
    13th May 2006Leeds Woodhouse Moor 2006
Pictures were taken here the same day i took pictures of the Big Weekend just 3 miles down the road! i got there as the fair was opening at 2 pm so the ground was fairly quiet but the people that were around were riding. Also the wet weather may have put people off from going to the fair but still i enjoyed my visit and at least i got to see Walter Murphy's recently purchased "2 extreme" Mondial Capriolo for the first time and this machine looks unbeliveable!
